The tin foil boat with Lego mini figures takes a ride on the twisty river rapids. A Lego lift system pulls the craft to the top and then sends it down rain gutter chutes, where the boat is pushed on by water from a garden hose. Built and filmed within a week and a half.
The supplies are rain gutters (sawed in half) from Home Depot, Quercetti Skyrail marble roller coaster supports, duct tape, Melissa and Doug unit blocks, Keva planks, a water pump, hoses, fishing wire, Lego mini figures, and tin foil.
The first-person angle was filmed with a GoPro Hero 4 Session on a cart. The camera cart made it through the straight sections on its own but had to be pushed around the turns. The offside shots with the actual tin foil boat were filmed with a Sony VG30H at 60 fps.
